Anonymous asked:
what do you love about autumn and what books do you like to read in the fall
Autumn has always felt to me like a sudden wake up call, an unexpected alarm clock ringing me out of summer’s long siesta and back onto my feet. This perception probably stems from my academic years. It feels both painful and pleasurable, doesn’t it? Like your superego knows it’s time to go back to school but your stubborn id still wants to sleep until noon. So autumn is when I have to discipline myself or I’d never get anything done, a time to make myself read the heaviest and most serious of books and remind myself that I have a brain and ought to use it. Note to self: Gravity’s Rainbow, soon. But not yet; not until the month ends in “ber”.
