I am impressed with your breadth and depth of knowledge of literature--and also your own art work and writing--therefore I feel I am asking a pro when I pose the following question: What are you top recommendations re places to submit writings for publication? Thanks!

The first two things to consider are genre and audience. What kind of writing do you produce? Publications that print work of a similar nature to yours are appropriate avenues for submissions. What is the audience for your kind of writing? Submit work to publications whose reader demographic is similar to your own intended audience. In the meantime, check out The Paris Review, Tin House, Granta, Ploughshares, and ZYZZYVA.
